This large set has number 704 (see below) and will have been the first set using this number. The absence of any Major Matt Mason-based copies in this set would indicate it was produced before the introduction of MMM by Mattel in 1966-67. It will have been superseded by the series of smaller sets also with the number 704, which do include toys based on MMM originals (see next page).
