
Thrifty Stores in Tracy CA offered Golden Astronaut toys on card for the suggested retail price (SRP) of 49 cents in this advert in the Tracy Press of 19 November 1969. The illustration of course shows the early type of blister card with inner frame but with the Security Copter shown sitting differently on the card.

In the run-up to Easter 1970, Gibson's discount stores in Waco TX offered serious discounts on Golden Astronaut toys on card, while their regular prices were already well below the SRP prices of 49¢ for a single vehicle on card and $1.29 for a triple card. Advert covers 3/4 of page width in the Waco Times-Herald of 25 March 1970.

Ontario discount department stores in Cincinatti OH offered the Moon Exploration set for 99c in this 2-column advert from the Cncinatti Post of 14 September 1970. That price is only a third of the SRP of $3.

Halving its price from $5.99 to $3, S Klein in Westchester, NY offered the Golden Astronaut Super Set as part of its Dollar-Toy-A-Rama sale. The other boxed sets were also offered for a single dollar, one-third of their SRP. Advertised in the Mount Vernon Argus of 21 October 1970.

Gertz Basement stores (two in New York City and two on Long Island) offered the Golden Astronaut Launch Site set for only 88¢ in this full-page advert. Published 18 November 1970 in the Newsday for Suffolk County, Long Island.

Mars Bargainland USA ran this 2-page advert for their Pre-Christmas Sale in several papers. The one shown is for Athol, MA from the Daily News of 24 November 1971. Other titles include the Morning Union (Springfield, MA) and the Portsmouth Herald (Portsmouth, NH) two days later.

The Wigwam store in Honolulu, Hawaii advertised a Golden Astronaut triple card for the give-away price of 17¢ in their Spring Toy Clean-Up (down from their regular price of 99¢ which was already lower than the SRP of $1.29). Published in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin of 20 April 1972.
