In October 1970, Spacex was advertised in a campaign of four half-page adverts appearing in British comics papers. Drawn in an attractive cartoon style similar to that used on Pippin-produced blister cards, the adverts finally started showing the new, enlarged range of toys which had only been vaguely referred to in the previous series of adverts.
With one advert for each themed series, the example above shows part of the Earth Launch series with the newly added Rocket Transporter, NASA Glider and Apollo Tracker next to the earlier four toys for that series. The appearance of the Rocket Transporter I consider to be convincing proof this toy was actually made - listing it on the back of the blister cards is one thing; advertising it to whet buyers' appetite is quite another.
